I have a 92 TT that ive just started working on recently. I have gotten rid of cruise control, AIVs, rear wiper/motor, installed DPs, test pipe, and back halves. So, when i bought the car, the clock didnt work. I just figured it was the common clock issue of blown resistors, so i took the stereo trim off, and found the clock was unplugged. Plugged it back up, clock works fine...Sweet right!? WRONG! When i drove home, i stopped at my mailbox, cut the car off, and when i got back in and tried to crank it back up...nothing. no lights on the dash, no starter/solenoid/relay clicks, nothing. So, i coast down the hill, park in front of my truck, jump it off, and it starts right up. Then i drive back to work(im a Toyota tech at the local dealer) test the battery, and its at like 560 CCA. So, i ruled out the battery and starter. But this is where it gets wierd. I finally get it to start without a jumpbox and drive it around the block, and now the abs and hicas lights are blinking, the p/s will cut out momentarlily when turning at low speeds, and i can here the abs pump even when i just barely tap the brakes. So, im thinking some kind of short somewhere, but where? Where do i even start, or has anyone ever heard of something like this? Thanks in advance
